Freedom Fest 2014 - Fort Kent, Maine

http://freedomfest2014.com/index.html

In exactly ONE MONTH, you want to make sure you are in Fort Kent, Maine!  For what, you may ask?  Why FREEDOM FEST, of course!  This event holds a near and dear place to my heart.  It is an outdoor concert to raise money for a Veteran Museum and Community Center to be built in Aroostook County, Maine.  This event is a joint project of Martin-Klein American Legion Post 133 and the Fort Kent Historical Society, and has been in the works for nearly a year.  Why should you make the trek out, you ask?

Well, for one; you'd be helping the thousands of veterans in northern Maine.  The community center will be a place where we can all congregate, sharing our experiences with one another in a safe environment.

For two; the band line up is AWESOME!
  • THOMAS NICHOLAS BAND
  • Madison Rising
  • Mallett Brothers Band
  • Spirit of Cash
  • Harold Ford
  • Laura Lucy & the Cash Band
  • Gunther Brown
  • Forget,Forget
  • Randolph S Michaud
  • Tennessee Haze
  • Uprooted
  • Kindred
For three; there will be some awesome vendors there (LIKE ME!!!) who will be supporting the cause.  Want to know WHY you should come see me?  Because I will be unveiling the finished Lady Liberty sculpture!  You can see some process pictures in my earlier blog post about it... but NO MORE updates until she is unveiled at Freedom Fest.

For four; an opening Bike Run from Plourde Harley Davidson , Caribou to Fort Kent lead by the Patriot Guard Riders & First Lady Ann LePage honoring the fallen and respectfully welcomed in Fort Kent by the Saluting Marine SSG Tim Chambers.  There are riders coming from all over New England to participate!!

FIVE; the cost for an ALL DAY, outdoor concert, featuring 12 different bands, could not be more reasonable!!!  $40 at the door, $35 advanced purchase, and $25 for 16 and under.... Have a child under the age of 12?  Yeah...they're free!

I could continue to go on...but do you really need me to?!?!?!  I know the trip up can seem daunting if you're coming from down state, but trust me when I say, it will be well worth it!  And who knows...maybe I'll even throw in a deal for those of you who find out about Freedom Fest on this blog post and mention it when you come see me.
